In order to be eligible for regular season and Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL) tournament competition, a student must meet academic and other requirements before beginning practice. A general overview is given below:
- Satisfactory academic progress
- Attendance and behavior standards
- No more than 8 semesters in high school
- Age under 20
- Amateur standing
- No racial, religious, sexual harassment or hazing
- Meeting MSHSL criteria for non-school competition and training
A complete list of MSHSL requirements is available in the school office and is also mailed to student athletes during the summer.
